Pick a starting pair — the standard one is F₀ = 0, F₁ = 1 — and then each new term is the sum of the previous two. That single rule generates 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, … forever. No multiplication, no special functions, no growth constant baked in — and yet the sequence already encodes φ inside the addition.
